Quran 40:22 from Surah Ghafir on Divine Marvels.
ذَٰلِكَ بِأَنَّهُمۡ كَانَت تَّأۡتِيهِمۡ رُسُلُهُم بِٱلۡبَيِّنَٰتِ فَكَفَرُواْ فَأَخَذَهُمُ ٱللَّهُۚ إِنَّهُۥ قَوِيّٞ شَدِيدُ ٱلۡعِقَابِ
English translation: That (was) because [they] used to come to them used to come to them their Messengers with clear proofs but they disbelieved So Allah seized them So Allah seized them Indeed, He (is) All-Strong severe (in) punishment
Transliteration: dhalika bi-annahum kanat tatihim rusuluhum bil-bayinati fakafaru fa-akhadhahumu al-lahu innahu qawiyyun shadidu al-'iqabi
