Surah Al-Anfaal 8:48

Quran 8:48 from Surah Al-Anfaal on Divine Marvels.

وَإِذۡ زَيَّنَ لَهُمُ ٱلشَّيۡطَٰنُ أَعۡمَٰلَهُمۡ وَقَالَ لَا غَالِبَ لَكُمُ ٱلۡيَوۡمَ مِنَ ٱلنَّاسِ وَإِنِّي جَارٞ لَّكُمۡۖ فَلَمَّا تَرَآءَتِ ٱلۡفِئَتَانِ نَكَصَ عَلَىٰ عَقِبَيۡهِ وَقَالَ إِنِّي بَرِيٓءٞ مِّنكُمۡ إِنِّيٓ أَرَىٰ مَا لَا تَرَوۡنَ إِنِّيٓ أَخَافُ ٱللَّهَۚ وَٱللَّهُ شَدِيدُ ٱلۡعِقَابِ

English translation: And when made fair-seeming to them the Shaitaan their deeds and he said No (one) (can) overcome [to] you today from the people and indeed, I am a neighbor for you But when came in sight the two forces he turned away on his heels and said Indeed, I am free of you Indeed, I see what not you see indeed, I [I] fear Allah And Allah (is) severe (in) the penalty

Transliteration: wa-idh zayyana lahumu al-shaytanu a'malahum waqala la ghaliba lakumu al-yawma mina al-nasi wa-inni jarun lakum falamma taraati al-fi-atani nakasa ala aqibayhi waqala inni barion minkum inni ara ma la tarawna inni akhafu al-laha wal-lahu shadidu al-'iqabi
