Quran 25:18 from Surah Al-Furqaan on Divine Marvels.
قَالُواْ سُبۡحَٰنَكَ مَا كَانَ يَنۢبَغِي لَنَآ أَن نَّتَّخِذَ مِن دُونِكَ مِنۡ أَوۡلِيَآءَ وَلَٰكِن مَّتَّعۡتَهُمۡ وَءَابَآءَهُمۡ حَتَّىٰ نَسُواْ ٱلذِّكۡرَ وَكَانُواْ قَوۡمَۢا بُورٗا
English translation: They say Glory be to You Not it was proper it was proper for us that we take besides You besides You any protectors But You gave them comforts and their forefathers until they forgot the Message and became a people ruined
Transliteration: qalu sub'hanaka ma kana yanbaghi lana an nattakhidha min dunika min awliyaa walakin matta'tahum waabaahum hatta nasu al-dhik'ra wakanu qawman buran
