Quran 2:17 from Surah Al-Baqara on Divine Marvels.
مَثَلُهُمۡ كَمَثَلِ ٱلَّذِي ٱسۡتَوۡقَدَ نَارٗا فَلَمَّآ أَضَآءَتۡ مَا حَوۡلَهُۥ ذَهَبَ ٱللَّهُ بِنُورِهِمۡ وَتَرَكَهُمۡ فِي ظُلُمَٰتٖ لَّا يُبۡصِرُونَ
English translation: Their example (is) like (the) example (of) the one who kindled a fire then, when it lighted what his surroundings took away Allah their light and left them in darkness[es] (so) not (do) they see
Transliteration: mathaluhum kamathali alladhi is'tawqada naran falamma adaat ma hawlahu dhahaba al-lahu binurihim watarakahum fi zulumatin la yub'siruna
